Choosing useful training
A course title alone does not tell you whether training meets your needs.
Make the conversation count.
Start with the requirement
Ask the employer or regulator what learning and evidence are expected for the role. Requirements can include supervised practical assessment.
Check the provider’s claims
Look for a clear audience, scope, syllabus, assessment, accreditation status and costs. Do not treat a completion record as a professional licence.
Plan your next action
Use learning to identify questions and development needs. Record the activity accurately and confirm acceptance separately.
